CLARENDON RESIDENTS be advised that at the June 18, 2024 meeting, the Clarendon Town Board did adopt the NYS Retirement Standard Work Day and Reporting Resolution, establishing standard work days for elected and appointed officials in the NYS Retirement System.

LEGAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING for the approval of a cable television agreement between Spectrum Northeast, LLC and the Town of Clarendon.  PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town of Clarendon will hold a Public Hearing on July 16, 2024 at 6:30PM at the Clarendon Town Hall, 16385 Church Street, Clarendon New York regarding granting a cable television franchise agreement by and between the Town of Clarendon and Spectrum Northeast, LLC, an indirect subsidiary of Charter Communications.   A copy of the agreement is available for public inspection during normal business hours at the Town Clerk’s Office located at 16385 Church Street in Clarendon, NY.  At such public hearing, all persons will be given an opportunity to be heard.  Written and oral statements will be taken at that time.  Time limitations may be imposed for each oral statement, if necessary.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
NOTICE IS HERE GIVEN that sealed proposals will be received by the Town Clerk, Town of Albion, Orleans County, NY until 12:00 P.M. on July 22, 2024 at Albion Town Hall, 3665 Clarendon Road, Albion, NY 14411 for Ambulance Services for the Towns of Albion, Barre, Carlton, Clarendon, Gaines, Kendall and Murray, Orleans County.  The Bidder assumes the risk of any delay in the mail or in the handling of the mail by the employees of the Town of Albion. Whether sent by mail or means of personal delivery, the Bidder assumes the responsibility for having the bids in at the time and the place specified above. CLARENDON RESIDENTS TAKE NOTICE that the Clarendon Town Board will hold a workshop meeting on Monday, April 29, 2024 at the Town Hall, 16385 Church Street in Clarendon, NY.  The workshop is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM ; purpose of workshop is to discuss possible projects for the town’s remaining ARPA funds.

CLARENDON RESIDENTS BE ADVISED that the Clarendon Town Board will hold its regular monthly meetings for the year 2024 on the third Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM at the Town Hall, 16385 Church Street in Clarendon, NY.  Additional meetings and public hearings will be published when set.  The official bank for the Town in 2024 is Five Star Bank and legal notices will be published in the Westside / Suburban News.

TAKE NOTICE that Melissa Ierlan is the Local Fair Housing Officer for the Clarendon Community.  The Town maintains resource materials concerning Fair Housing, including Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968 and the Fair Housing Amendment Act of 1988.  The Federal Fair Housing Law as well as the laws of the State of New York, prohibits discrimination in the sale, rental, financing and brokerage of housing based on race, color, religion, sex. Pursuant to the Public Health Law Section 1399-0, the Town of Clarendon has a written smoking policy for its town employees’ places of employment.  Smoking is prohibited in all indoor places of town employment under the jurisdiction and control of the Town of Clarendon except for those areas specifically designated for smoking.  There are no indoor designated smoking areas at the Town Hall. The entire policy is on file in the Town Clerk’s Office for review upon request.

ATTENTION CLARENDON RESIDENTS: The Planning Board is seeking to fill one alternate Member Position.  There are many issues that deserve someone who is willing to spend two nights a month on the things that affect Clarendon and its residents. The Planning Board deals with land regulations and the development of the town. The Planning Board meets the second and fourth Tuesday of each month and requires the attendance of meetings and public hearings when possible. Responsibilities: To be up-to-date on the Zoning Ordinance, Sub-Division Rules, Master Plan and Town Law and the ability to render unbiased decisions on issuance of special permits, site plan and sub-division review pertaining to the Town of Clarendon. Attend meetings as often as possible or be up-to-date as to any issues that would require the alternates vote. Qualification: Ability to comprehend Town Law, Zoning Ordinance and Sub-Division rules, etc.; Considerable interest in the development of the town and willingness to work independently. CLARENDON PUBLIC WATER CUSTOMERS be aware that November 1st  delinquent water bills, together with penalty, shall become a lien against the real property upon which or in connection with which the water is used. Such a lien is prior and superior to any other lien or claim except the lien of an existing tax.  The Town Board shall include delinquent water charges, penalties and an additional $100 penalty in the annual tax levy and shall levy the same upon the real property in default in accordance with the Town Law.
