CLARENDON RESIDENTS TAKE NOTICE that the Clarendon Town Board will hold a Special Meeting at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at the Town Hall, 16385 Church Street, Clarendon, NY. ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS - NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Sealed Bids, subject to the conditions contained herein, will be received by the Town of Clarendon, at the Town Hall, located at 16385 Church Street, Clarendon, NY 14429, until 11:00 a.m. local time on June 19, 2017, and then publicly opened and read, for furnishing all labor and materials and performing the work for the:


Town of Clarendon – Hillside Cemetery Chapel Restoration

Contract 1 – Slate Roof Replacement

Contract 2 – Window Repairs

Contract 3 - Miscellaneous Repairs

The Contract Documents may be viewed and ordered through the Avalon Plan Room website at: www.avalonroch-planroom.com/ in the "Public Jobs" section. If you do not have internet access or have questions on ordering from the site, please contact Avalon Document Services at (585) 242-9999. Drawings can be picked up at any Avalon Document Services location.  Only Bidders properly registered with Avalon as plan holders will be allowed to submit a bid. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within 45 days after the date set for the opening thereof.


1. For a refundable fee of Seventy-Five Dollars ($75), interested firms may request and receive a printed copy of the complete set.

2. For a non-refundable fee of Ten Dollars ($10), interested firms may request and receive an electric download of the bidding and contract documents.

3. For a non-refundable fee of Ten Dollars ($10), interested firms may request and receive a CD with electronic copies of the bidding and contract documents."

Cash deposits will not be accepted. If bid documents are to be shipped, then Bidder must furnish Avalon with the Bidder's active UPS or Federal Express account number or pay Avalon for all shipping and handling costs. Also required is Federal I.D. Number or Social Security Number at time of purchase. All deposit checks are to be made payable to the Town of Clarendon. A refund will be made by Town of Clarendon in the amount of $75.00 to Bidder(s) or $37.50 to Non-Bidders, for the return of all the printed copy sets in good condition within (30) days of the bid date.


A bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid payable to "Town of Clarendon" will be required and is subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Failure to submit a bid bond or certified check with bid will result in automatic disqualification of bid. Failure to submit a bid upon the proposal form(s) furnished in the Bid Documents will result in automatic disqualification of bid.


The successful bidder must furnish at the time of Contract Execution a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in the amount not less than 100% of bid price in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.


Packets containing bid forms, must be sealed, marked, and delivered to the Town of Clarendon 16385 Church Street, Clarendon, NY 14429. Also, mark on the envelope the project name.


The Bidding Documents may be examined at the Town of Clarendon 16385 Church Street, Clarendon, NY 14429 and at Chatfield Engineers, P.C., 2800 Dewey Avenue, Rochester, NY 14616 during normal business hours.


The Owner reserves the right to revise or amend the bidding documents prior to the date set for opening bids. Such revision and amendments, if any, will be announced by addenda to this advertisement. A pre-bid conference will be held at 11:00 a.m. local time on June 14, 2017 at the the Hillside Cemetery Chapel located at the intersection of NYS Rt. 237 and South Holley Road. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory.

 This contract is subject to compliance with Article 8 of the New York State Labor Law regarding prevailing wages.

NOTICE OF FILING OF TENTATIVE ASSESSMENT ROLL   (Pursuant to Section 506 of the Real Property Tax Law)

Notice is hereby given that the 2017 Tentative Assessment Roll for the Town of Clarendon, County of Orleans will be completed on May 1, 2017.  The Roll will be on file and available for examination by any person until Tues., May 23, 2017 at the Clarendon Town Hall, 16385 Church St., Clarendon, NY 14429.
